Tonya Jesienouski
Mrs. Jesienouski is currently in her 9th year at Lava Ridge Intermediate School, a place she believes provides an unparalleled environment for students to achieve academic, social, and personal success. With a steadfast commitment to doing what is best for students, she previously served as the counselor at Coral Canyon Elementary School before joining Lava Ridge in 2015. With over two decades of experience in schools and counseling centers, Mrs. Jesienouski's passion for her work is evident.
Outside of her professional life, Mrs. Jesienouski finds joy in reading, watching movies, and engaging in DIY projects. She particularly loves to crochet and paint. Her love for travel has taken her to various destinations including Hawaii, Japan, Puerto Rico, Washington DC, Honduras, Costa Rica, Belize, and several states across the US.
As a counselor, Mrs. Jesienouski finds fulfillment in supporting students through the myriad challenges they face in today's world. She firmly believes that difficult times are temporary and that everyone possesses the ability to rise up, realize their potential, and pursue their dreams. Her motto, "I love you and I care about you," is one she shares frequently, recognizing the importance of empathy and support in the lives of her students.
