Quinten Edwards | Teacher
My Email: quinten.edwards@washk12.orgMr. Quinten Edwards hails from the quaint town of Greenville, UT, where he spent his formative years on a dairy farm, being the eldest among his siblings. His upbringing involved milking cows and tending to alfalfa, instilling in him a strong work ethic from a young age. His passion for reading was ignited in second grade, and he has since remained an avid reader. During high school, Mr. Edwards discovered his knack for working on cars and trucks, a hobby he continues to enjoy. On weekends, he relishes spending time with his family, often embarking on drives to explore new destinations.
With 13 years of experience in education, 11 of which have been dedicated to Lava Ridge Intermediate, Mr. Edwards finds fulfillment in teaching College and Career Awareness, guiding students as they navigate their future paths. Holding a Master's of Education in Learning and Technology, Mr. Edwards is well-equipped to introduce students to various educational opportunities. His pursuit of knowledge has taken him through multiple institutions, including Rick's College, Snow College South, Dixie State College, BYU, SUU, and Western Governors University. Additionally, he has earned industry certifications from ASE in Diesel Engines, Manual Transmission and Drivetrain, and Heavy Duty Brake Systems, as well as the Stihl Gold Level Technician certification.
Mr. Edwards extends his gratitude for taking the time to learn about him and warmly welcomes students to Lava Ridge and College and Career Awareness.

Mindi Matheson | Teacher
My Email: mindi.matheson@washk12.orgMrs. Matheson, a native of St. George, has dedicated 30 years to teaching in Washington County. Alongside her husband, she shares a family filled with love, including three beautiful daughters, two amazing sons-in-law, and Lily, their beloved Maltipoo (undoubtedly the favorite child). With the anticipation of becoming a first-time grandma in July, Mrs. Matheson eagerly awaits the new addition to her family.
Outside of her professional life, Mrs. Matheson finds joy in spending quality time with her family, particularly traveling and visiting the lake every summer. She also has a passion for reading and a deep love for playing pickleball. Her favorite treats include cinnamon bears, gummy bears, and street tacos.
Entering her 5th year at Lava Ridge, Mrs. Matheson looks forward to continuing her journey with the school community.

Jorgina Rowley | Teacher
My Email:Mrs. Rowley exhibits a deep passion for teaching, both within the confines of the classroom and in the tranquil waters of the swimming pool. She finds immense joy in the company of her husband of 26 years, her four children, two sons-in-law, and one precious granddaughter.
Her love for nature is palpable, as she eagerly engages in activities such as hiking, camping, and exploring new places. Mrs. Rowley's affinity for water extends beyond teaching, as she recently acquired the skill of surfing in the ocean. She admits to a slight addiction to the sun, reveling in its warmth whether lounging on a beach, cruising in a boat, or relaxing by the poolside.
With a background in nutrition, Mrs. Rowley delights in providing her family and friends with delicious and nutritious meals, though she doesn't shy away from indulging in some less nutritious treats now and then.
