Pamela Main

Mrs. Main grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, between Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons. She is the youngest of three and the only girl. Ever since she can remember, she loved school for the structure it provided, and she was inspired by wonderful, caring teachers who taught her patience and kindness. Always an advocate for those who may be misunderstood, misguided, or different, these values led her to pursue a career in Special Education.

Mrs. Main's Special Education career began in 1992 at a school for the disabled in Sandy, Utah, where she worked with Pre-K students. During that time, she met many intelligent, creative teachers, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech and Language Therapists, and she grew to love the field. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Mild/Moderate Special Education and later pursued a Master's in Early Childhood Special Education. Over the years, she has taught in various schools, districts, and states, enjoying the dynamic experiences in Special Education.

Some of Mrs. Main's favorite activities include camping, hiking, taking long walks, paddleboarding on lakes, dancing, attending concerts, cooking, traveling, doing service work, and listening to music. She and her husband have raised four cats and one dog, and they currently have one beloved pet. She is an aunt to six nieces and nephews, a great aunt to four, and an "Auntie" to many of her friends' children.

In 2018, she and her husband traveled to England to visit his family, exploring castles and visiting Stonehenge. This past summer, she spent time at the pool, visited her family cabin in Heber, went fishing, hiked, camped in their new travel trailer, attended a UB40 concert, and relaxed while watching series and movies. Mrs. Main looks forward to the upcoming school year and meeting her new 6th graders.
