Rosemarie Swallow | Teacher
My Email: rosemarie.swallow@washk12.orgMrs. Swallow grew up all over the western states as her father worked for the Bureau of Land Management, necessitating a move every five years. Her mother currently resides in St. George. She has one younger sister living in Sandy, Utah, who works for a medical company, and a brother who was formerly the Senior Trainer for the Seattle Mariners baseball team but now works for Heritage Mortgage company as a loan processor, dividing his time between Pine Valley and Seattle, Washington.
Having attended Utah State University, Mrs. Swallow proudly identifies as a “True” Aggie and is an avid fan. She has two children: Caitlyn, 28, who works at Heritage Mortgage as a marketing executive, and Ben, 26, who works as an ER phlebotomist and scribe for doctors while attending nursing school at Dixie Tech.
With 42 years of involvement in education, this academic year marks her 33rd year in the classroom. Mrs. Swallow's passion for teaching stems from her love for learning, with her first teaching position at Delta Middle School in Delta, Utah. Currently in her ninth year teaching Social Studies, she will be returning to teach Language Arts. Previously at LRI, she taught Language Arts for 12 years, two years of Reading Support class, and one year of Science.
Mrs. Swallow holds a deep affection for small towns and farming, finding joy in activities like cutting hay and watching the sun rise and set. Her hobbies include watching baseball (especially the Mariners), traveling, gardening, and reading. She cherishes time spent with her family, friends, and loved ones. Among her dreams are attending a World Series baseball game with the Mariners, traveling to Alaska, Hawaii, and Europe, and rekindling her skill in oil painting.
